Fibroids affect approximately three out of four American women. Many women dismiss symptoms of fibroids (also known as myomas) including, heavy monthly periods, pain or pressure between the hip bones or back of the legs, a frequent need to urinate, constipation and bloating and an enlarged abdomen. Fibroid related symptoms cause women to lose an estimated 2-4 million days of productivity a year. African-American women, and those of any race with a family history, are more likely to develop fibroids than other women. It’s estimated that between 50% and 80% of African-American women will develop fibroids. Fibroids are the #1 reason for hysterectomy in this country— up to 75% of hysterectomies done are for this non-cancerous condition that can be treated without surgery!

The White Pants Social

Don’t be surprised by the resurgence in the number of women wearing white pants after Labor Day. It’s not really a fashion statement. It’s a symbol of freedom, freedom from uterine fibroids.

The white pants movement was founded by UFE and Fibroid Expert Dr. John Lipman as a way to help women reclaim their health by becoming free from fibroids.

There is a movement sweeping Atlanta and if you listen closely, you’ll hear it, you feel it and you see it. You’ll see women all over Metro Atlanta wearing white pants any time of the month. They are free, free from fibroids. These women are making a statement, and it isn’t about fashion. It’s a statement about freedom.

Over a hundred women converged on Paschal's Restaurant, October 19th for the White Pants Social. The event was hosted by V103 personalities, including morning show host Wanda Smith. Ramona Debreaux and Sytonnia Moore also took on hosting duties.

Dr. John Lipman addressed the crowd and fielded questions on UFE and Fibroids. The night was fun, yet educational!!!

The Got Fibroids Team Heads To For Sisters Only!!!!

For Sisters Only, an expo sponsored by Atlanta's number one radio station V103, was a huge success.  Many women stopped by the Got Fibroids booth to share their stories about living with uterine fibroids. Some of the visitors to the Got Fibroids booth had already had a UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) procedure and they talked about the impact the procedure has had on their lives. They also stopped by to learn more about UFE, the non surgical treatment for uterine fibroids.

Many women learned more about our upcoming events and signed up to attend our upcoming White Pants Social on October 19th. Don't miss out on your opportunity to attend. To RSVP call 678-861-7787.
